For this role, we’ll look to you to:

  • Manage product lifecycle from product creation through commercialization for assigned products/categories.
  • Lead assigned product development process including product creation & design, product coloring, costing, factory communication, packaging , TOP samples and timeline management for assigned categories.
  • Develop and execute merchandising, promotional and marketing tactics to support business objectives.
  • Set specifications and guide sourcing resources to ensure products meet feature, quality and timeline expectations.
  • Create and oversee the development, communication and execution of a rolling product roadmap for key strategic categories within the eyewear category to provide a steady stream of new products.
  • Incorporate customer insights into strategy and product development.
  • Determine the product/quality positioning in supported categories.
  • Oversee assigned key projects to ensure they provide sales growth, margin expansion and/or market differentiation.
  • Define and develop new packaging systems for innovative products and new and existing categories.
  • Manage the end-of-life process to smoothly transition to future best sellers with comprehensive exit planning.
  • Develop selling strategies and execute merchandising, promotional, and marketing tactics intended to deliver budgeted sales and margin in the assigned categories.
  • Partner with marketing team to create key marketing materials, as well as category and product specific briefs for promo and everyday products.
  • Use data analysis to drive business decisions, inspire new development and create a roadmap for future products & programs.

The gross annual salary is $63,500. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Business and creative minded with a background in eyewear design, product development, product line management, industrial design, or fashion design & merchandising.
  • Strong financial analytical skills.
  • Training in design, strong color sense, and experience coloring eyewear is preferred.
  • Ability to conceptualize, create and launch new products and promotional programs within consumer product organizations.
  • History of successful product management and relevant category experience.
  • Experience with retail sunglasses, readers and accessories for men, women and kids with understanding technical requirements, fit, color and shape balancing is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Three to five years of related work experience.
  • Ability to travel 10%.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
