SRP Companies is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance Department. Using internal and external data, the Financial Analyst provides value-added analytical insights on our business, industry, customers, and category trends. The Financial Analyst proactively analyzes the business to assess sales and expense trends, assists with our budgeting and forecasting processes, supports the evaluation of acquisition opportunities, and leads the analytics for other ad hoc projects. This position is a key collaborator with our team to provide analytical support in developing strategies and solutions that benefit both SRP and our customers.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop reports & analyses that deepen our understanding of the business and facilitate data-driven decision making that drives profitable growth and/or expense savings
    • Gather data across a wide variety of platforms to perform business analytics
    • Deliver keen, actionable insights to the leadership team
    • Anticipate business needs and identify opportunities to proactively deliver value
  • Support the FP&A team with:
    • Monthly reporting and variance analysis
    • Annual budgeting and reforecast processes (e.g. 3+9, 6+6, etc.)
    • Quarterly and ad hoc Board reporting
    • Evaluating ROI for special projects and tracking progress (plan vs. actual)
  • Support add-on acquisition activity
    • Build financial models to determine acquisition valuations and impact on pro forma profitability and leverage
    • Assess and quantify synergy opportunities
    • Support due diligence processes, including coordination of efforts across third party providers (e.g. legal, accounting, environmental, etc.)
    • Prepare presentations for management, Board, and lenders concisely summarizing acquisition opportunities (rationale, financials, risks, process roadmap, etc.)
  • Work with Sales and Operations teams to support their data-driven decision-making processes
    • Measure customer and product profitability
    • Evaluate new business opportunities (new products, new customers) and support tracking of plan vs. actual
    • Support Operations with key KPIs to effectively manage our distribution center and field service operations
  • Perform other tasks as required or assigned

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA optional)
  • Strong, forward-thinking mindset
  • Minimum five years related insights and/or analytics experience, preferably within a consumer-packaged goods environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey concise, impactful messages to senior leadership
  • Tech-savvy and extremely proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outloo
    • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau preferred. SQL skills a plus.
  • Experienced in creating financial models and deep financial statement understanding
  • Extremely strong analytical skills and proven experience translating data into actionable insights
  • Strong project management skills: ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities, work under pressure, and hit tight deadlines
  • M&A / due diligence experience
  • Strong independent work ethic and self-starter mentality
  • Ability to travel and attend and/or conduct presentations/meetings

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $85,000 - $95,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
